
This New Venue in Southern Utah Will Bring Even More Visitors to the Area
If you have lived in Southern Utah at all, you know the sun that shines from October to May brings in visitors every weekend. The new pickle ball venue built at Black Desert will add even more people coming into the area.
A New Venue for Champions: The Black Desert Pickleball Courts
It sits between holes 15 and 16 on the Black Desert Golf Course with 21 courts including the center championship venue with seating for a thousand people to watch. They held the Greater Zion Cup recently that brought pro pickleball players in from across the country.
What does this mean for Southern Utah? On the positive side it will bring people and dollars to the local economy. Pickleball is a big deal, and a venue like this will continue to grow in popularity and bring multiple events in.
A Year-Round Destination: The Allure of St. George
It will also add to the many baseball and soccer tournaments happening every weekend. Combined that with all the people coming down from the Salt Lake area to get out of the cold and things get busy.
If you want the place to yourself, you will have to wait for July and August. That is the time of year when most people find the area a little too oven like, but its easier to get a table at a restaurant.

The St. George area has experienced this influx for decades and it is part of living where the sun shines. Expect more visitors every weekend as the area continues to be a destination place to play popular outdoor sports.
