An Anti-snoring, AI-Enabled Pillow not for Utah?
The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) just wrapped up in Las Vegas and one of the highlights is not for Utah.
This 2024 CES show attendees were impressed by a pillow that communicates via Artificial Intelligence and activates inflatable pockets to adjust the head of the sleeper. When snoring is detected the pillow can adjust the head until the snoring ceases.
What do you think, is this a good solution? I mean snoring is not only caused by head position, right? I have this image in my head of the pillow pushing your head to a 90-degree angle and maintaining pressure because the snoring went away.
Ok, who am I kidding when one of our bedroom residents whom I don't mean to shame because they were embarrassed and took care of the issue with a self-imposed intensive program, used to snore I would have gladly moved the pillow in any configuration to relieve the log sawing.
To be fair the pillow moves gently and depends on 4 airbags to make adjustments. You can manually set limits so the pillow doesn't push your head too high and it uses AI to study patterns so it can learn how to best respond to your sleep patterns.
So maybe the pillow is a good answer. What do you think? Would it disturb your sleep to feel your pillow moving around below your head?
Here's the thing though, Utah might be able to ignore this pillow invention. Why? Apparently, Utah is on the low side of the national average when it comes to snorers. Probably because we live such exciting lives not like the snoresville residents in the East.
Obviously, if you suffer from snoring this might be a simple solution for you even if you do live in the less snorey Utah.
