Where Is The Big New Soccer Complex In Southern Utah?

New Facility to Open This Fall for Soccer Tournaments 

Washington county is a hive of activity in the spring and fall months as youth teams converge from all over the colder regions of the west to play each other and improve their skills. Southern Utah has a network of fields to accommodate these traveling tournaments and there is a new one opening this fall. 

It was the vision of the Shivwits Band Council to create a complex with multiple fields. It was designed to be behind the convenience store that was recently built. They have teamed up with the Utah Youth Soccer Association to bring these tournaments this fall. 

Thousands Will Visit the Soccer Complex Each Year 

You can see what they have created when you stop for the best price on gas anywhere at the Shivwits Convenience Store. Right behind is the nearly completed sports complex. With just a little more turf work, the fields will be ready to welcome kids and their families in the next couple of months. 

I think this was a brilliant idea. How do you generate revenue and economic opportunities for the people of the Shivwits Band of Paiutes? Creating a place for our sports driven culture to come and play with the convenience store next door to provide refreshment was genius.

Southern Utah is fast becoming a mecca for sports from baseball, softball, soccer and golf. This area from Santa Clara to Ivins continues to expand and the Shivwits Sports Complex is another good addition.
