St. George Hosts Fall Cleanup September 26th With Free Dumpsters At Six Locations

Are there some big items in your garage or stacked up on the side of your house that you have been meaning to take to the dump. Well, the city is making it easy for you on September 26th by placing big dumpsters near you.

Helping Hands: Backhoe Assistance for Heavy Items

It is the Fall Clean-Up and there will be city dumpster placed at six locations through St. George. Don't worry if you don't think you can do the heavy lifting. If you can get it to the bin, they will help you toss it in. There will be a backhoe on hand to load items.

This gives residents a chance to clean out items that have been stacking up. But this isn't for businesses to fill up these dumpsters. Commercial waste should be taken to the landfill directly.

What You Can’t Dump: Hazardous Items to Avoid

There are also items you can't put in the dumpster and should be taken to the dump. This includes old tires, batteries, and old oil. If you have an old appliance you can call Republic Waste at 435-628-2821 and they will come pick it up from the curb.

To see the specific dumpster locations click on this site with all the information. The dumpsters will be available from 8:00 in the morning on the 26th until noon. If you miss those times, you can always take it to the Landfill which is free to dump for residents.
