Southern Utah/Nevada #1 for Marriage
What happened, Utah? We should be leading this list of states for marriage, yet we didn’t even make the top ten.
What are all the temples for if not marriage? I'm frustrated. What criteria did they use?
Hmmm, let's see it says that jewelry company Glamira released data breaking down the best states to get married in. They based their rankings on: the number of fine jewelry and bridal stores, the number of entertainment and nightlife venues, the number of event spaces, the number of romantic hotels, overall average wedding expenses, and the number of wedding planning services like florists, photographers, beauty services, and designers.
Oh, that makes more sense. According to their data, this top ten list is just fine:
1. Vermont
2. Rhode Island
3. Montana
4. Maine
5. New Hampshire
6. Louisiana
7. Florida
8. Tennessee
9. Nebraska
10. Missouri
Sure, you guys go ahead and host your fancy weddings, but when it comes to the sheer number of weddings, we all know who’s number one, right? No doubt, Utah takes the cake.
Wait, Nevada actually tops the list with a 25.9 marriage rate? and Utah has a mere 9.9? Fine so, Nevada is clearly number one. But if we widen our circle a bit to make it the Southern Utah/Nevada area, we’re number one! Yes.
And congratulations to my buddy Brandon Reed, who owns Bliss Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas and hosted our vow renewal party. I'm sure he's a big part of the reason Nevada did so well.
