According to this study here is a list of jobs that seniors are happy to do that seem to be overlooked by younger workers.
Receptionist – Being able to sit and visit with clients seems to fit well with an older employee.
Cashier – While sitting may not be available there is not much heavy lifting and the ability to visit with customers seems to be attractive.
Event Staffers – At first I thought we were talking about event security, but then I realized that more often than not the ticket handler and usher positions are often managed by seniors in our area.
School Bus Drivers – Slide over Otto Man (the Simpsons) this job is being staffed by your father's dad.
Substitute Teachers – with a high level of experience and knowledge it is no wonder that this position attracts an older set, plus the wisdom of age might control the class better.
Seniors in the workplace seems especially true in our area where we have a sizeable population of healthy seniors, so don’t be surprised if the next time you visit with your child's teacher it feels like you are talking to your grandparents.
