Kyle Whittingham stepped down as the University of Utah football coach at the age of 66, but he didn't retire. Instead he started a new job as Michigan's head coach. This got me wondering about who is hitting significant age milestones this year.

Maybe I’m thinking about this because I am starting to feel my retirement years approaching. I went to a concert with my wife and noted how the place was full of old people. Then I realized I kind of fit in.

Here’s a few notable people associated with Utah that I was surprised to discover had aged into their senior years when I wasn't looking.

Former governor Gary Herbert is 78. It seems like he was governor yesterday.

Donny Osmond is 68. Currently accomplishing more than most people half his age.

Hall of famer Steve Young is 64. He could probably lead the Raiders to more wins than their current quarterback.

I’m not including any women on the list. That would be rude.
