If you have ever had a co-worker who doesn’t smell good, you know how uncomfortable it can be. It also can fill you with an inner dread when you wonder if you have a smell you are not aware of. Here’s how to figure out if you unknowingly stink.

The Secret Is to Separate Yourself from the Smell

The problem is you are really close to yourself. If you have ever tried beathing into your hand to see if it smells bad, you know it is hard to detect and you mostly just smell your hand. Here some simple tricks to get a whiff of what other people are sniffing.

For bad breath you can lick your wrist and smell that or try clearing your nose of your own scent by sniffing a strong smell like pizza or coffee beans and then smell your saliva. Even if the smell is faint to you, it may be more for others.

If you are worried that you have body odor, rather than stretch your arms like your tired and dip your head to your pits for a sniff, try this. Go to the bathroom or somewhere private and remove your shirt. Now that it is further away, you can smell it better.

Reasons for Body Smells Vary but It Is Usually a Bacteria Problem

In most cases a bad smell on your body doesn’t come from bodily fluids but from the bacteria that has built up. Bacteria on the tongue can look like white specks. Brushing can help and a visit to the dentist if it continues.

Body odor is the same. A deodorant that fights bacteria can make a big difference. There are medical conditions that make using deodorant an issue, so be kind if this is the case. Some people may already be aware and self-conscious about it.

Fast-Food Fries - Ranked Healthiest to Unhealthiest

The best side dish for a burger is NOT coleslaw. If someone tells you that, walk away and go find a place that is serving up french fries.

"Healthy" and "French Fries" don't typically go together. It is common knowledge that although a fry is from a potato, it doesn't make it as healthy as a green, leafy salad.

If you are still reaching for a fry and now you are curious how "healthy" it really is, Cheapism did the research for you and ranked over 20 fast-food chains' fries from the healthiest to unhealthiest.
