Wedding season is in full season in Utah and will likely continue through Fall as the weather cools down a bit.
The beehive state has stunning locations for weddings, but one of the most unique (and very Utah) may be at its national parks. Utah has five national parks for couples to choose from: Arches, Zion, Canyonlands, Bryce, and Capitol Reef.
Basically, you can find very desert backdrops to gorgeous mountain backdrops in Utah. The range is a bit limited but hey, there is some variety at least.
Getting Married at A National Park
For some couples, a national park is a place to say their vows and soak in the beautiful scenery. However, there are some things to know before deciding. The locations may be stunning but as it is a national park, there will be restrictions on guest amounts, decorations, time of day, etc.
You will also need to secure a permit, which can be costly.

Special permits for weddings at Utah National Parks can vary, but it is at least $100 to apply. Some parks like Arches have very strict wedding rules that guests must adhere to. Depending on guest size, a park plan will need to be mapped out, and no invasive flower species are allowed as a few examples.
The permit portion of a national park wedding is required for ALL national parks, not just in Utah. So, there will be some things to consider when choosing your destination wedding but, if it fits the couple, Utah has some great options for outdoor wedding venues.
