Hundreds of vehicles are stolen every year in the state of Utah, and every year the National Insurance Crime Bureau or NICB compiles an annual auto theft report detailing America's top 10 most stolen vehicles in each state.

Apparently in the year 2022, thieves had some particular tastes in vehicles, especially trucks.

What's interesting, is it's not just new vehicles that are the targets of these auto thefts. It seems the most popular cars to steal are those that are 10 or more years old.

This could be because older cars are easier to steal, they may be more prevalent on the road, people may leave these older cars unlocked more often, we're not entirely sure.
