
Utah Named MOST LIKELY STATE To Boycott Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show!
The Super Bowl is hours away at this point, and somehow Utah is already in first place... But not in the way anyone has expected!
According to a study done by BetOnline, they've found Utah is the most likely state in the country to be boycotting this years Super Bowl Halftime Show, headlined by Bad Bunny. This finding comes months after online backlash following the NFL's announcement of Bad Bunny.
BetOnline examined more than 170,000 geotagged posts on X (formerly Twitter). By tracking hashtags, keywords, and phrases tied to boycotting the halftime show. Their researchers were able to pinpoint where negative sentiment was coming from... and Utah was at the top of the list!
Utah's Dominance in Boycott Posts
Utah alone generated 8,432 posts expressing boycott-related words or phrases, putting it ahead of states like Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana. While much of the criticism also came from parts of the Southeast and Midwest, Utah stood out as the loudest voice online!

Highlighting the Alternative: Kid Rock Takes Center Stage
Turning Point USA, which was founded by Charlie Kirk, announced their plans for an alternative halftime show, headlined by Kid Rock, with other Country Music stars like Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, and Gabby Barrett. Online posts referencing that alternative event were also included in BetOnline’s analysis.
Among the phrases tracked were:
“Boycott Bad Bunny”
“I’ll watch the Kid Rock halftime show”
“I’ll watch the Turning Point USA halftime show”
Hashtags like #BoycottBadBunny, #BoycottHalftime, and #AllAmericanHalftimeShow were also factored into the data.
