I'm a kid from St. George, Utah... Born and raised. I remember when our mall had a Wal-Mart attached to it. I remember when we had ONE school for ALL the sixth grade students. I remember when the Dinosaur tracks were found in a desert now known as "Dino Crossing." But one thing I've always felt... "I'll never make it big. Nobody from here EVER makes it big." Well, that's 100% UNTRUE!

Here are some people who made it big AND grew up in St. George, Utah!

Brendon Urie is an extremely familiar voice if you're listening to the radio. Panic! has sold MILLIONS of albums and they've become a household name in pop/rock/punk music. Brendon calls Las Vegas home now, but for a time... Dixie was Brendon's home! Brendon was born at Dixie Regional Medical Center on April 12, 1987, and after living here for a few short years, his family up and moved to Vegas. Urie was even a member of the LDS church until he was 17 years old. Panic! at The Disco has since broke up, but I'd be shocked if a reunion wasn't in their future.

Tanya went to school at Woodward, the 6th grade center in 1971, where she befriended my mom! On Wednesday night, Tanya was honored on the CMA awards when my mom pulled out her yearbook showing Tanya in only 6th grade.

Bruce Hurst is an HISTORIC person coming from St. George. Bruce was a pitcher in the Major Leagues in the 80's & 90's. He played for Boston Red Sox, San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies, and Texas Rangers. Bruce Hurst made history in the Major Leagues by becoming the first player to win the World Series MVP, to have it swiftly taken away from him. Bruce was the ace pitcher for the Red Sox, and it appeared they were going to win the World Series. The game was ALL BUT OVER, and the announcers deemed Bruce the World Series MVP, before a miracle happened and the New York Mets came back to win the game, and the World Series, thus taking the MVP from Bruce's hands, and putting it into the hands of Ray Knight of the New York Mets.

Dia Frampton:

Dia Frampton was the Runner-Up on Season 1 of the Voice. Dia was on Team Blake and many... including myself, believe Dia should've won the voice. Dia grew up in St. George and attended Dixie High School. Dia was last seen on the latest season of The Voice singing a tribute to Blake Shelton on his final year on the show.
