I Challenge You To A Fall Campout Southern Utah
I challenge you to a camp off.
The sweltering days of summer are finally behind us, and it’s time to embrace the cool, crisp evenings that only fall in the Southwest can offer. We basically live in a postcard in this region and during the autumn we can finally go out and enjoy it again. So, I throw down the challenge, pull out your tent, camper or RV whatever glamp level you embrace, and start planning for a fall campout.
Fall in the Southwest isn’t just about escaping the heat; it’s about rediscovering some of those beautiful sites that the summer sun was keeping from you. Picture the smoky aroma of campfires mingling with the earthy scent of fallen leaves. In Southern Utah the air is clearer, the colors richer, with landscapes painted in deep reds, vibrant oranges, and golden yellows.
I can hear my old self saying that I will get out there and enjoy it, but then I get busy and soon I am trying to enjoy it on my from here to there. Let this be your call to not just enjoy it from the road, get out there and experience it this year. Let the stress of summer melt away and take in some of those sites without a windshield in the way.
And let’s not forget the nights—where the full moon casts a silver glow over the desert, and the stars seem close enough to touch. Smokey evenings and fall are a match made in heaven, beckoning you to gather your friends, light that fire, and let out a howl at the moon.
