Here’s The Largest Export Utah Sends To The World
This is What Each State Exports to Different Countries
The United States sends goods all over the world, but what does each state send out and to what countries? This is what the site Visual Capitalist answers. They break down what each state exports the most and to what country.
Because of its proximity, Canada is our largest export market for the middle part of the country while the southwest sends the most to Mexico. Those are not the only countries states export to.
Wyoming sends $200 million worth of chemicals to Indonesia. South Carolina is shipping $3,774 million in transportation equipment to Germany. Rhode Island sends $321million in waste and scrap to Italy. I’m glad that’s not our export.
Utah’s Largest Export Ends Up with an English Accent
According to the site, Utah transports $6,805 million in primary metal manufacturers like gold and silver to the United Kingdom. It says this accounts for 96.2% of all exports from the beehive state to other countries.
Where are these precious metals coming from. Utahmining.org says much of the gold comes from the process of mining copper. It shows the different areas mined throughout the state and what is produced from those mines.

I had no idea that mining was still such a big part of what Utah produces. With the price of precious metals high, this has been a good thing for our economy.
