Most Dangerous Toy List is Topped by This One

There have been some incredibly risky toys sold over the years. Every kid from the 80s has a story about a BB gun causing an injury. Lawn darts were an amazingly short sited gift featuring a heavy metal point that you throw towards a ring with other players standing around it.

There were Barbie roller blades that sparked like a lighter and started things on fire. Recently the hover boards that roll around on short wheels have been responsible for all kinds of falls and destruction.

But here is the king of dangerous toys. What did some toy department decide was a great idea to give kids? It’s the Atomic Energy Lab sold in the 1950s. Makes perfect sense. Let your ten-year-old play with the elements that created the most destructive device in history.

Such a Stunningly Bad Idea It Has Become a Collector’s Item

The original kit came with actual uranium, thorium and radium. These are all radioactive materials. Contamination is incredibly dangerous not to mention these are used to create atomic weapons. And you were worried about your kid eating play dough.

It is so infamous that it has become a collectable. This year one sold at auction for a cozy $16,500 dollars. That’s a big upgrade from the $49 it originally cost.

If you have one, load it up in a lead box and put it up for auction. If you want to buy one, you may need a permit from the government.
