Congratulations to Elise who guessed it was a painting. She won the $100 in gas!

The neighbor was Cap Blohm and he was an amazing wildlife painter and he brought a picture of kittens on black velvet. It was framed and awesome. John proudly put it on his wall for Dave to glare at year after year.

This coming Friday John & Dave will give away $100 in gas on Star 98 thanks to the good folks at Grass Creek Construction. It will be a 21 questions style contest where listeners will try to guess the strange item John got from trick-or-treating as a kid.

Unfortunate Egging Incident Causes Homeowner to Spray Innocent Child

Years ago on a cold night in Provo, Utah, a young boy named Dave was happily trick-or-treating through his neighborhood. He walked up to a house and discovered the owner angrily spraying off his walkway.

Apparently, some older kids had thrown rotten eggs at his house. When the upset homeowner saw young Dave coming to ask for candy, he sprayed him angrily with the hose. The bewildered boy hurried away, now dripping wet.

Boy Claims Trick-or-Treat Gift That Was Meant for His Brother

The homeowner felt terrible about what he had done and the next day visited the house of the boy he had sprayed. He had something special and valuable for the innocent young man that he hoped would make things right.

Unfortunately, he mistook the younger brother of Dave as the soaking victim and gave him the valuable item. Despite young Dave's protestations, his brother John kept the item and displayed it proudly for all to see.
