With higher baggage fees and increased prices for a plane ticket, another travel option has grown in popularity. The recent news focusing on plane crashes has only furthered this trend. It is a new mode of travel for some but has been around for a long time.

The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round

The Federal Transit Administration has seen a steady increase over the last four years for those choosing to travel by bus. Companies like Greyhound and FlixBus have seen more people booking trips recently.

This is especially true for shorter drives between cities that would have been a quick hop in a plane before. The bus offers a similar experience without having to go through TSA and pay extra for luggage. Many are finding it worth the money saved.

Nothing New to Those with a Fear of Flying

Aerophobia affects more people than you may realize. According to the Cleveland Clinic there are 25 million Americans who experience anxiety and panic attacks over flying in an airplane.

There are ways to treat this anxiety, but an easy way around it is to take the bus and there are many who do just that. With all of the options available with not only buses but trains as well, it can be a nice way to go.
