You are driving Highway 59 and you come across a swarm of extra juicy bugs. One of course hits you on the windshield at eye level and a bunch litter your car grill. In some states where I have lived the mess is gross, but cleans off pretty easily at the next rest or gas stop, but in Utah the dry heat ensures the bug will be baked on before you can get to it.

So what is a poor Utah traveler to do?

For some reason I feel the need to break into infomercial mode.

Yeah, the dryer sheets you have in your laundry room. If you are frugal you can even turn to used dryer sheets. After I read this article I decided to give it a try.

I used a spray bottle to wet the grill nicely and then wiped with two used dryer sheets , one at a time. I was impressed at how it dissolved the bug remains. The sheet did leave a residue behind, but it cleaned off nicely with a car wash. I treated my windshield the same and was very pleased with the results.

Give it a try, you won’t spend any extra money and you will feel good about using refuse. But wait there's more. No I guess there is not, sorry my bad.
