Congratulations to Michael who was our very first caller who got 7 cards in a row. This is not an easy game to win and he got it immediately. A very lucky run indeed. Next week we are giving away $100 in gas just to change things up a bit.

Every Friday John & Dave give away $100 on Star 98 thanks to the good folks at Grass Creek Construction. This week we are playing "The High Low Game" which involves a deck of playing cards.

This Game Involves Some Skill and Luck

It is a simple game. John & Dave will take a caller on-air starting around 7:10 AM. John will deal a card from the deck. The caller must decide if the next card will be higher or lower. If they get it right 7 times in a row, they win the $100.

Aces can be worth either 1 or 11 and if the next card is the same number, another is drawn. The duplicate card does not count as one of the seven. Star 98 will not be responsible for dropped calls and all the other legal stuff.

Example of How the High Low Game Works

JnD: Hello caller. Are you ready to play?

Caller: Yes, very excited.

JnD: You have drawn a Queen. Will the next card be higher or lower?

Caller: Lower.

JnD: You are correct. You have drawn a 3. Will the next card be higher or lower?

Caller: Higher.

JnD: And your next card is another 3. That doesn't count so, your next card is a seven. You were right. Will the next card be higher or lower?

You can see how it plays out. If the caller guesses wrong, we will take another contestant until we get a winner.

Thanks to Grass Creek Construction who makes all this possible. You can listen to Star 98 at 98.1 and 98.5 on the FM Dial. You can also listen on the Star 98 App.
