This one is for my brother Matt. He makes a good point about the big Black Friday sales. You get excited ready to knock out our entire Christmas list at a bargain. You have your family members list, as well as the family members that you are shopping for who have asked you to pick up a few things while you're there. Probably the gifts they are going to give you later so close your eyes as you select items from their list.

Then you get to the store, which used to have a line. The line used to be so trendy, then people realized they were standing in lline to spend money and it seemed like that tradition sort of died. I mean if I want to stand in a line I can go to the DMV.

You walk through the magic opening glass doors to be greeted by huge discounts on TVs and game consoles. Why is it always TVs and game consoles?

What about some variety?

Here are some honorable mentions that Utahns have said they wish were for sale on Black Friday.

The Light Bulb Camera is a hot item this year. You can screw it into your light socket on the front porch and then all you need is a TV and a game controller...wait a minute I am sensing a trend.

Camera Drones: The ability to soar through the air while looking at the footage through one of those TVs that were on sale on Black Friday would be a great Christmas present. What? I just endorsed what?... Wow, those Black Friday sale execs are good.

Power Spin Scrubber: A neighbor loves their cleaning power tool. They say it really does make a difference and is priced nicely too. So maybe that's why it wasn't featured as a Black Friday Sale item. This neighbor says she uses it to clean all of her hard surfaces in the bathroom, kitchen and can even use it to clean her game controllers and extra TVs.

OK, I quit. Obviously, the Black Friday people know what is core to our quality of life. Sorry, Matt, I tried.
