Celebrate Utah’s Creativity With The Made In Utah Contest
KSL's Made in Utah Contest
Forget Silicon Valley. Utah’s got its own innovation ecosystem—equal parts grit, quirk, and “wait, that was invented here?” KSL is running a contest asking the question, "What is the coolest thing made in Utah?" The KSL contest invites Utah locals to vote on the coolest product made in here. They have narrowed it down to their sweet sixteen with nominees ranging from high-tech gear to hometown oddities. This list is well-worth a look and you will be surprised at the spread of items that are created right here in our own home state.
Let's Expand the Nomination List
But let’s be honest: this list is a little too formal and focused to be a comprehensive list of things that we know are truly manufactured and enjoyed in our great state. What have you as a Utahn created that should be added to the list?

Here are a few suggestions that I think I have personally been a part of that should be included on the KSL list.
Penny Pinching Generosity: I just participated in this today, I wanted to be generous and show that the service I got was appreciated, to show my gratitude I hoped that my pre 1940s tip amount will somehow send that message.
Conditional Love Applied Unconditionally: I love you enough to tell you where you could improve and am willing to apply this conditional love without conditions...why isn't anyone coming to Thanksgiving this year?
Weather Unrelated Outfits: Utah where flip flops in February and tank tops in December reinforce the belief that weather should not dictate fashion coverage.
Self Sufficient Equals Well Done: It doesn't matter if I know what I am doing or not, if I can do it I should.
Pine Scented Candle Outdoorsmanship: It doesn't matter how much you get out we are “mountain people.” Bonus points if you own a CamelBak but use it exclusively at Lagoon.
