Hebrew Scholar Sees Connections Between Utah and the Ten Tribes of Israel

A scholar in Israel has a website and produces videos dedicated to trying to locate the lost ten tribes. These were people who lived in the northern kingdom of Israel who were taken by the Assyrians in 722 BC whose whereabouts became unknown. 

Searching for Israel by Different People's Fruits 

Yair Davidy searches for the lost tribes among the nations of Europe and also Canada and the United States. He believes you can recognize the descendants of these people by how they live their lives and their belief system.

In one his posts he notes how in parts of Europe pronounced Judah as “yootes” and “yati”. He acknowledges that Utah is named for the Ute tribe who live in the area. Still, he finds a connection between the people of the state, the name, and the ten tribes. 

Religious Beliefs of Many in Utah Relate to the Ten Tribes 

He especially notes the beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as being a part of Israel and particularly Ephraim. The Church believes members are either descendants or adopted into one of the ten tribes when they become members. 

Davidy seems to connect this belief in the tribes of Israel as an indication that the people of Utah may be part of the lost tribes. He also notes the how the people of Utah tend to be healthy with good families and thrive economically.
