Utah Expert Describes The Best Way to Binge Watch
Are you binge watching the right way?
The holidays mean some time off work, sleeping in late, and binge watching shows you have missed.
Ike works here at the station and is a master of binge watching. He watched two seasons of “Blacklist” in three days. That’s 968 minutes or 16 hours of binging. One day he went from 11 am to midnight.
With his hours of training and experimentation, I think you would agree this man has become an expert in the binge. I asked him if he had learned some things from his current binge and past sessions. He was a wealth of good information.
Ike’s binge watching tips:
-Snacks. Lots of them and a good variety.
-Pick the right show. You don't want one that strands you in the middle.
-Comfortable recliner. Soft sofas can become uncomfortable over time.
-Take breaks for food, get your blood flowing.
-Do not take work calls.
-Pace yourself. Binge eating is not good. Keep the food in the kitchen. Don’t bring into the room large quantities.
-Energy drinks.
-Make sure the food you eat doesn’t send you to the restroom. You don’t want to miss part of the show while visiting the bathroom.
-Don’t google anything about the show.
-Avoid shows that have characters from other shows like a multiverse. You will have to go catch yourself up on the other show and lose focus.
-Skip intros and recaps. You don’t need them.
-Wear sweatpants with no elastic. The less pressure the better.
-Don’t add up the time spent because then you will feel bad.
Ike's tips for life?
I'm not sure, but these tips might just be good for more than binge watching. They might be a good way to live your life. Read the list again, but this time just thinking about living. "The less pressure the better" sounds pretty wise.
