The UHSAA 4A State Baseball Championships start tonight.

Listen to the full tournament starting tonight and tomorrow with Desert Hills vs Cedar on ESPN 97.7, then on Monday listen to every game that includes a Region 10 team on ESPN 97.7 all presented by Ideal Home and Paint.

Here are the match-ups and seeds.

#1 Snow Canyon BYE

Snow Canyon was awesome this year and is inarguably the best slugging team in the state. They hit 33 home runs this year. Coach Secrist has had the Warriors in the state championship game three years in a row. We'll see if they can make it four straight with the top seed going into this year's tournament.

#2 Crimson Cliffs BYE

The Mustangs are the defending champs and have tremendous pitching in Beau Sampson, Aaron Morris, Jaiven Ross and several others. They play great in close games and have reliable RBI guys like Petey Soto Jr. and Brex Starley who have been awesome all year.

#3 Dixie BYE

The Flyers come into the playoffs having lost four out of their last six games. They dominated the first part of their region schedule but then went into a little bit of a slump against some of the top teams in Region 10. Dixie has one of the best pitchers in the state in Cayson Bell, and a lineup full of guys who can get on base.

-SUPER REGIONAL MATCHUPS - Three game series -

#4 Mountain Crest vs #14 Logan

Mountain Crest should get past the Grizzlies in two games. Logan is winless this year (0-19).

#5 Desert Hills vs #12 Cedar - 7:30PM on ESPN 97.7 - Presented by Ideal Home and Paint!

Cedar only won five total games this year, but is capable of making this series interesting. They beat Pine View last week 10-1 and swept Hurricane the week before that.

Desert Hills is coming off one of their most impressive wins of the year knocking of Dixie 8-4 last Friday.

#6 Ridgeline vs #11 Sky View

Ridgeline is a good program. In their last three series, they swept Green Canyon and Logan, and went 1-2 against Bear River.

The winner of this series will play Dixie.

#7 Green Canyon vs #10 Hurricane

I think this is going three games. Hurricane put up some runs this year on pretty much everybody except the top three teams in 4A. They put up 23 runs in two games against Pine View, 23 runs in two games against Cedar, and 11 runs in two games against Desert Hills.

#8 Bear River vs #9 Pine View

A battle between two of the grittiest programs in the state the last several years. All the things we say about how Pine View plays can be applied to Bear River. This should be a fun one.

St. George's Toughest Runs

If you choose to run up these hills in St. George Utah, you're either A) really healthy or B) completely NUTS.
