Unexpected Golf Obstacles Only Found In Utah

Rory McIlroy found himself in an unexpected predicament during the World Tour Championship in Dubai, As the four-time major winner took his tee shot on the par-3 13th hole, his ball veered off course and landed in the lap of a female spectator. Laughter erupted among the spectators as the onlookers hastily stepped back and the woman, with her feet crossed, obediently remained in her position waiting for a ruling, the golf ball lodged between her legs.

Rory is probably used to spectators being a possible hazard, but what hazards would be unique to you and I as we golf our way through the golf courses of Southern Utah?

You know, that famous plastic ball that falls short that one time you decide to let it come to you? There may be only one rival to the popularity of golf in Southern Utah and that would be Pickleball. It would take a mighty overhead smash, but you know when the match is heated that plastic ball goes ballistic.

Yeah, we have to share the outdoors, but sometimes the adventuring college kids are a little unaware. I could see them setting up camp on "this sweet piece of wild turf" and not knowing they were on a golf course.

Dino Bones
With as many as have been discovered it wouldn't even slow the game down to have to thread your ball through a dino rack of ribs. Sort of like a mini golf course.

Retiree Golfers
Sometimes their pace makes them seem like a permanent part of the course. Like a sloth, they seem to be still, but they are in motion, slow motion.

So whatever your obstacle just keep your calm and do like Rory, call the referee in your group, keep your focus and play through.
