Pioneer Day Events: Fun-Filled Festivities Across Utah

Pioneer Day celebrations kick off throughout the state on July 24th with the biggest taking place in Salt Lake City. For a complete list of celebrations in Utah, check out this article from ABC 4.

You may wonder about lighting fireworks. Governor Cox's ban statewide has expired and cities have been waiting for direction. Right now you can expect to light your own stuff in the same places you could on the 4th.

Washington's Parade: A Day of Music and Community

After the parade in Washington that goes down Telegraph, there will be music and booths at the city park followed by events and swimming at the Washington Recreation Center. It caps off with fireworks at 10 p.m. at the ball fields.

There are other activities in Hurricane, La Verkin, and Enterprise in Washington County. Cedar City has activities at the park. Brian Head is the only other place in Southern Utah where you can witness some fireworks.

If you are new to Utah, stop complaining about dumb local holidays and break out the western look you've been dying to wear. No one will dare question you cowboy bonefides on the 24th.
