Not True! Most Popular Team In Utah Is The Titans
Most popular NFL team in Utah?
Who does Utah cheer for when it comes to professional football? Utah has no NFL team although bordering states do. Does proximity determine allegiance or is there more to it? If a player is starring from your favorite university, does that make you a fan?
If you are a BYU fan you may want to cheer for the Rams with what Puka Nacua has been doing. If that’s true, maybe people in Utah cheer for Baltimore as they have Marcus Williams from Utah and Kyle Van Noy from BYU on the team.
Vivid Seats show how each state buys tickets for what team. As you would predict, Utah is all over the place and they ended up breaking it up by county. Box Elder bought seats for Green Bay. Not surprising since Jordan Love who played at Utah State, has been starting for the Packers. However, Cache County bought Dallas Cowboy tickets. Weird.
Toole, Summit and Iron County bought Las Vegas Raiders tickets. That would argue for the close convenient ticket. Weber, San Juan and Utah County bought San Francisco 49er tickets. Five counties bought Denver Bronco tickets, but they are all small population places.
The most was the Arizona Cardinals with seven counties that includes Salt Lake and St. George. Does that mean they are the team most Utahns cheer for? If so, it would indicate that proximity matters. This information came out earlier last year and maybe when it is updated, it will be all about the Raiders. Allegiant Stadium is awesome and even closer.
Having said that, I don't think this nails down the team the beehive state cheers, just what stadium they buy tickets for. Who knows if they were cheering for the home or away team.
My guess, we are all in on the Tennessee Titans.
