I get to buy stamps for one of my jobs. I buy stamps directly from the US Postal Service where I like to choose an image that matches the message on the mailer I am sending.

I must be a valued customer because this year I got a catalog of the new stamps in the mail. Ironic that the mail service is sending me a catalog in the mail to show me how I can mail stuff.

To my dismay I found that this story has noted that the USPS is considering raising the price of stamps this summer. It has not cleared the approval stage, but history would suggest that it will get approved.

This news caused a sweet life hack to come to mind. I have researched a little bit to see if it is shady and it seems legit. Make sure to do your research before you try it, but here it goes.

The USPS is not secretive with how much the postage will go up, so with some easy math and a customer willing to buy, you could purchase an amount of "Forever Stamps" before the price increase and sell them to your customer for full price—or, if you're feeling very kind, perhaps with a minor discount.

I don't know if this idea is too simple because it seems like some company like Stamps.com would be very into this guaranteed return on investment. However, maybe you can figure it out for yourself. For example, if your company sends a lot of mail perhaps they would be willing to purchase stamps from you.
