Finding the best place to work
It is hard to work at a job you don’t like. You can feel the dread of another day coming. It is hard to get there, and it seems like time slows down as you wait for the time to leave. The way things are in Southern Utah with building and growth, you can probably find a better job that you enjoy more.
There are several sites listing great places to work. Having looked at several, these companies seem to come up multiple times.
1. SkyWest Airlines
Everyone I know who has gone to work for this company never leaves. It must be a good place to be employed.
2. Ram Company
Make parts for aviation and space. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that. If your skills are in engineering, this might be a great place to work in Southern Utah.
3. Utah Tech University
Working for a place run by the state usually has reasonable hours and workloads. Also, the benefits are always good.
4. Intermountain Health
Working in healthcare is certainly not an industry going away. It is a great place to help other people and the health benefits can't be beat.
5. Reid-Ashman Mfg.
High tech solutions for businesses. It would be a cool place to work with some amazing technology.
Who is Missing?
What do you think? Should there be other companies on the list? I know In-N-Out pays their people really well and I have friends who enjoy working at Costco. Home Depot seems like a good company. I love wandering through the store so I would probably enjoy working there.
Zippia is a site that shows the best places to work in St. George, Hurricane and Cedar City, as well as other cities in Utah. You can also see the best companies to work for in the state. It might be time to tune up your resume and possibly get some new training.
