Many Americans Think the End is Coming

Pew Research Center found almost four out of ten adults in the United States feel that we are living in the end of times. With this uncertainty has come a greater interest in the stories of those who have passed to the other side and come back. These are called NDE’s or near-death experiences.

Often these stories begin with a person leaving their body viewing it below them. Some report extensive experiences including seeing heaven and others say they have seen what will happen in the near future. This last one is why interest has grown significantly.

Utah is no exception to the fascination over NDE's. You can find many stories online of people telling their experiences firsthand. There are also many books that have been written detailing life after death experiences.

Should You Attend the Annual Conference?

The International Association for Near-Death Studies otherwise known as IANDS is an organization of people who study these stories and those who have had them. They hold a conference each year with speakers on the subject over multiple days.

2025's conference is in Chicago from August 28th to September 1st. If you are interested, you can book a flight and see the speakers firsthand. That isn’t the only option though. You can also attend online.

Maybe you don’t want to wait until August. You can watch speakers from past conferences on YouTube. Just know that when you begin, plan on staying a while because the stories told are fascinating.
