Utah has a surprising attraction that can be found in most parts of the state if you know where to look.

Lavender farms are sprinkled across the beehive state, and it's the perfect small adventure! This weekend, a lavender festival in Millville is happening at the historic Lavender Apple Farm! This is just one example of the ways Utahns can enjoy a lavender farm.

Utah Lavender Farms

The dry climate in Utah makes it the perfect place to grow lavender, PBS said. The season when it blooms the most is mid-July so it's short but super rewarding.

If you are a lavender enthusiast like me, seeing one of Utah's lavender farms is like a dream come true.

Visitors can often find farms while travelling, like the Young Living Lavender Farm in Mona, UT off Old Highway 91. There is also the Baker Creek Lavender Farm in Central, UT near St. George. I had the chance to visit the Baker Creek Lavender Farm, and it was a beautiful experience.

Many of these lavender farms offer essential oils and other lavender-related goods in shops or online stores. So, if you’d like some local lavender stuff, this is a good place to start looking.

Some even offer photoshoots in the lavender fields and even things like lab tours, weddings/events, and more.

The lavender in Utah is always gorgeous and being in the fields is a special experience whether you're alone or with family. I highly recommend finding a lavender farm near you to explore before the season is over.
