The Most Hated Thanksgiving Foods In Utah And U.S.
Utah has a lot of interesting dishes but when it comes to Thanksgiving it's usually kept pretty traditional which sucks for some people.
Some of us may get excited at the notion of a turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole and the like. However, that’s not true for everyone. In fact, I know several people who just don’t like turkey at all which is the main course for many Thanksgiving meals.
The biggest difference in a Utah Thanksgiving is probably going to be funeral potatoes instead of mashed potatoes. Other than that, the normal fixings are on the menu.
Data from The Vacationer analyzed the most hated Thanksgiving foods in 2021 and its surprising. Several people just seem to not like the type of foods there are.
- 28.09% Are Anti-Turkey.
- 29.92% Hate cranberry sauce.
- 21.32% Are not fans of ham.
- 24.61% Won’t eat green bean casserole.
- 23.42% Hate stuffing (same).
- 17.57% Don’t like mashed potatoes.
- 24.25% Say no to yams and sweet potatoes.
- 14.73% Can’t stand mac n’ cheese.
- 20.77% Are anti-pumpkin pie.
So, a decent amount of people in the U.S. are just not fans of the Thanksgiving menu.
Some interesting takeaways from the data showed that those 18-29 are two times as likely to not like turkey, The Vacationer said. Also, those aged 18-29 (27.11%) are not into mashed potatoes. Basically, younger people are pickier eaters compared to those who are 60 and over.
It is a bit crazy that almost 30% of U.S. adults are not fans of turkey though. The good news is that you can have ham or whatever you want really. Make it your own.
