5 Weird Places To Get Married In St. George Utah
Hello. My name is Mikey, and I've married over 400 people.
Let me explain.
Apart from my usual job of telling ridiculous jokes on the Mikey & The Mrs Show, I've spent the last few years performing Wedding ceremonies for people all over Southern Utah as a professional Wedding Officiant.
When they don't feel like doing an outdoor wedding, they'll often pick a wedding venue in Southern Utah like The Springs in Toquerville Utah, Zion Red Rock Villa, or The Barn at Cedar Meadows in Cedar City.
But every now and then I get a very interesting request. Someone will ask to be married in a place that is rather different than the usual locations.
Sometimes it's a location that is special to them that they have a personal connection to. Perhaps it was on a certain mountain that the groom proposed to the bride. Or it's at a restaurant where the two of them had their first date.
All of these make perfect sense. And if you think about it, a wedding doesn't have to be in a church, a temple, a synagogue or a ballroom. It can be anywhere you want, as long as you have an Officiant, two witnesses and a marriage license.
Here are five places that stick out in my mind as being among the most unique locations that I've ever performed a wedding.
5. On A Boat
The boat wedding was fun, and to my surprise I didn't even get wet.
4) Fiesta Fun
3) Movie Theater
This couple was married at the Coral Cliffs VIP Cinema in Hurricane during Date Night with Mikey & The Mrs. Nobody at the theater knew we were going to do it and everyone was surprised.
2) In A Jeep
It was far too cold outside at Snow Canyon State Park, so the couple decided to get married IN THE JEEP. I can honestly say it was one of the most romantic and intimate weddings I've ever performed. Hooray for technology to provide witnesses remotely via phone!
Star98FM and Wendy's presented The Wedding at Wendy's. Everything was paid for by generous sponsors like Seven Oaks Fine Jewelers, Bell Tower Bridal and of course Wendy's. The ceremony was broadcast on the radio and the story was even featured in USA Today.
See? The whole world is your wedding chapel. It just depends on where you're willing to go. Name the spot, and I'll see you there!
