Speaking on the radio this morning, Marty Warburton from Cedar City Music Arts highlighted Vinograde’s lifetime commitment to his craft, drawing a parallel to athletes like Michael Jordan and LeBron James, who excel through intense focus. Warburton promised, “Peter will have the equivalent of a 49-foot shot tonight in his interpretation of Bach on that grand piano.”

Vinograde, a frequent visitor to the area, has strong ties to Cedar City. “His parents used to live in Ivins, and he’s well-acquainted with this region,” Warburton shared. The artist’s return comes by popular demand, a testament to his gracious personality and exceptional talent.

Tickets for tonight’s performance are available at the Heritage Center box office starting at 6:30 PM. Warburton encouraged families to attend, emphasizing the unique opportunity to witness the life’s work of a world-class pianist.

Reflecting on Cedar City Music Arts’ current season, Warburton noted that tonight’s concert marks the midway point. Earlier highlights included an electrifying performance by the Double Duo in November. Looking ahead, the season promises more variety, including the Little Roy and Lizzy Long Show in February, the Kruger Brothers in April, and the Vita Guitar Quartet in May.

Warburton also discussed the organization’s long-term plans. “We’re already booking into 2027,” he said, while acknowledging challenges like limited venue availability at the Heritage Center Theater. Cedar City Music Arts is exploring the possibility of year-round programming to complement the area’s cultural offerings, including the Utah Shakespeare Festival.

“It’s all about bringing diverse, high-quality music to Cedar City,” Warburton remarked. “We’re making a name for ourselves, and it’s working. Musicians talk, and they know this is a great place to perform.”
