Free Community Pancake Breakfast Saturday To Support Special Olympics
Start your Saturday with a stack of pancakes and a heart full of community spirit at the State Bank of Southern Utah’s Free Pancake Breakfast. The event takes place from 8:00 to 10:00 AM at the finish line of the Utah Summer Games 5K/10K, located at the southeast corner of the SUU PE Building. Whether you’re crossing the finish line yourself or cheering on a friend or family member, everyone is welcome to enjoy a free, delicious breakfast.
More than just a meal, this breakfast supports Special Olympics Utah, a statewide organization that empowers individuals with intellectual disabilities through year-round sports training and athletic competition. Special Olympics Utah provides opportunities for athletes of all ages to develop physical fitness, build friendships, and experience the thrill of competition in an inclusive environment. The organization hosts over 40 events annually, promoting respect, acceptance, and community involvement.
Kids Will Race And Receive Medals
Adding to the fun, Kids Races for ages 1 to 12 begin at 9:00 AM, giving young athletes the chance to run their hearts out and receive medals on the official Utah Summer Games podium—just like the pros. It’s a moment that young runners (and their cheering families) won’t forget.

The event combines the excitement of the Utah Summer Games with the feel-good energy of a local celebration. It’s the perfect way to spend a summer morning—supporting a great cause, fueling up with pancakes, and watching kids race with uncontainable joy.
