Cedar City Music Arts will close out its 95th season tonight with a special concert featuring the internationally acclaimed Vida Guitar Quartet from the United Kingdom. The performance, which begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Heritage Center Theater, marks the final event of the organization’s 2024–25 season.

“We are on our sixth and final concert of the season,” said board member Marty Warburton during an interview on KSUB’s Big Picture Morning Show. “We’ve had a great run this year, and we’re excited to finish strong with a truly unique group of musicians.”

The evening will begin with a 10- to 15-minute performance by the Utah Arts Academy Classical Guitar Ensemble from St. George. The quartet from the UK will follow with a full-length concert, showcasing the skill and artistry that has earned them international praise. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

To encourage attendance, Cedar City Music Arts is offering several promotions. “If you’re a season ticket holder, bring a guest for free,” Warburton said on the radio. “And for everyone else, it’s BOGO—buy one ticket, get one free. We’re just trying to get people in to see what it is we’re doing.”

Iron County School Kids Get Special Performance

In addition to the evening performance, the Vida Guitar Quartet performed a special matinee for Iron County students earlier in the day. “We’re busing in four or five hundred third, fourth, and fifth graders for a question-and-answer concert,” Warburton shared. “They’ll be up close and personal with the musicians—something many of them have never experienced.”

Founded in 1929, Cedar City Music Arts is the second-oldest arts organization in Utah, relying on grants, ticket sales, and community donations. Warburton emphasized the importance of public support. “If you’re a business, buy season tickets for your employees. Or just make a donation. Everybody wins—the school kids, the artists, the community.”
