YOU’LL NEVER GUESS…Number of Visitors to Ski Utah this Year
Everyone and their dog came to Utah to ski this year.
We got MORE SNOWFALL this season than McConnahey got in Interstellar...
Alta Ski Resort had 903 inches! Which is the most ever by any Ski resort in Utah.
That's a lot of powder!
So it stands to reason that we would break a record when it came to skiers visiting our state this year.
According to Ski Utah, 7.1 million skiers visited resorts this year in the Beehive State.
Per Jeff Tavss' article on FOX 13:
Ski Utah reports the 7.1 million skier visits to the state in 2022-23 were up 22% over the previous record set a year earlier. The big numbers are a reflection of resorts opening earlier and staying open much later due to the never-ending winter.
The ski industry contributes to Utah’s economy in a huge way; this year, visitors spent more than $2.5 billion here, said Alison Palmintere, Director of Communications.
Amazing numbers.
I don't understand why there's an argument about which state has the best skiing at this point.
On most lists, Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado seems to always be number one.
What a joke. That place looks like a dump.
Then people talk about Whistler Blackcomb in Vancouver...
Gimme a break! I wouldn't be caught dead here.
And kind of midway down the list a resort from Utah will pop up. Either Alta or Brighton or whatever.
I'm sorry...did Whistler Blackcomb get 903 inches of snow this year?? No? Then bump em down on the list!
Our license plate makes one thing clear, we have the best snow on the planet.
