Burritos were invented back in the 1880's when everybody was on the look out for Emilio Estevez (Billy the Kid).

Billy killed around 20 men according to some and four according to some of the less fun historians.

And what made him so dangerous is, you'd get a hold of him, drag him to the jail, lock his teenage butt up, and by morning he'd have escaped.

But the posse that was on the look out for him needed something to eat. So they threw some tortillas on the cast iron and put some meat in there with some salsa verde that comes in packets from Taco Bell.

And they rode around and shot their guns and choked out Billy and ate burritos.

It sounds like one heckuva life.

Nowadays we really just have burritos because Billy is likely dead and most of us aren't in a posse.

Is This Where to get the Best Burrito in Utah?

According to many online and on Reddit, Lone Star Taqueria in Salt Lake is the place to get a burrito up north.

Per the Deseret News:

"Lone Star Taqueria has some of Utah’s favorite burritos. My colleague said that the best burrito here is the “What the Boys Eat” burrito. She said that it had a fantastic flavor and was filling. What I like about the burritos here is that the vegetarian option is chock full of vegetables. It has zucchini, carrots and many more vegetables, which makes it have such a fresh and interesting flavor."
