With Region 9 football season right around the corner, let’s take a quick peak into what we can look forward to this upcoming year by understanding where these teams were a season ago.

First up, the Pine View Panthers.

2 Separate instances of two consecutive wins.

All of Pine View’s victories came in back to back fashion.

Consecutive victories over Canyon View and out at Tooele on August 23rd and August 30th.

Back to back Region wins at Dixie and hosting Cedar on September 20thand 27th.

Last year’s end result:

The Panthers finished the season as the #15 seed securing a home game in the first round of the playoffs.

Despite this Pine Views season would come to an end on a three game slide capped by a 1st round exit as the Dixie Flyers got revenge for their region loss in a 48-35 win.

Pine View was seen with about an 11 point differential in their 35-34 overtime win at Dixie on September 20th.

Cedar was also seen as a favorite per the Week 7 power guide despite Pine View given the “edge” wherein the Panthers defeated the Reds, 31-27.

Consecutive Streak:

Pine View finished the year throwing for 225 or more yards the last three games of the season.

1st game of the 2025 season:

VS Manti Templars (3A), August 15th.

Opened last year in Manti where the Templars hung 58 points en route to a 16 point win over Pine View.

The record may not have been what Pine View envisioned last season, but with a lot of returning contributors and very notable talent, the pieces are in play to deliver one of the best Panther performances in years.
