I'm in shock.

The Super Bowl is a time to get lugged to somebody's horrible house to watch Doritos' commercials while not really having that good of a seat (kitchen chair or maybe even folding chair).

And then there's the game which is just Patrick Mahomes prancing around to the Nutcracker soundtrack with brief cutaways to Taylor Swift bear hugging Kelce's mom, and then there's Roger Goodell with a giant check he's handing to somebody for PR.

In the middle is the halftime show, which if it doesn't have Tom Cruise dressed in black jumping off the top of the stadium, I'm in the potty.

But some people make a big deal out of it and according to ticketsource.us, Utah's favorite halftime show was...Shakira and Jenny from the Block in 2020.

Really?

"Super Bowl LIV (2020): Shakira and Jennifer Lopez brought a vibrant, high-energy show that celebrated Latin culture, earning the top spot in 10 states. Their dynamic performance broke records for engagement on social media. Super Bowl XLVII (2013): Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child reunited in a breathtaking performance that was the most searched in 9 states. Beyoncé’s commanding stage presence and the nostalgia of Destiny’s Child made this an instant classic."

I have no memory of this performance but a bunch of people in Utah went nuts for it. Here's a graphic: (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)

The 2020 show was super popular in a lot of states, but the most popular was Bruno Mars:

"Super Bowl XLVIII (2014): Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers emerged as the most searched halftime performance, dominating in 13 states. Known for Bruno Mars’s electrifying stage presence and the nostalgic appeal of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, this show captivated fans nationwide." (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)
