Last year saw EA Sports release “College Football 25”.

The game was the first college football game to hit the market after what had been an 11 year hiatus and fans were beyond ready to receive it with open arms.

The pent up demand resulted in the best selling sports video game in US History.

A year removed from the hype, EA Sports hopes to capitalize on the momentum with new features and game play improvements when “College Football 26” debuts on July 10th this year.

The cover athletes are set, new details will be dropping every handful of weeks leading up to the release and college football fans are already determining who the next team will be that they lead to the national championship.

But no hype train leaves the station without a proper “reveal” trailer and EA Sports made sure to drop theirs on May 29th.

The 1:52 clip provides football fans with a look into the world of digital college football showing night time atmospheres, new team entrances and the reemergence of High School being relevant in “Road to Glory” mode.

Some of the many changes from last year's editions are spelled out right here:

On the local scene, unfortunately none of Utah, BYU or Utah State was visible in the clip out of a potential 136 playable teams.

Multiple Big 12 teams had minor appearances such as Texas Tech, Kansas, Oklahoma State and West Virginia.

Oregon State, the Future Pac-12 conference mate to Utah State in 2026, was featured as well, shown as the team getting overwhelmed by the crowd at Autzen Stadium.

With less than 40 days until release, fans will receive new information pertaining to the game and likely a look or two at the local FBS teams here in Utah as we inch closer.

For those who want to show that extra commitment, pre-orders are available now, and by doing as such one will gain the ability a three day early access window to play the game starting July 7th.

Until then, keep an eye out for details as they emerge.
