Here’s Why Some Coke Bottles Have Yellow Caps in Utah
Nothing better than an original Coke. Or as I call it a "hardball."
There's a much larger contingent these days who op for a diet Coke or a Coke Zero.
Even Coke seems to market more for the Coke Zero. They ask: "Is this the best Coke ever?"
They're able to do that, in my opinion, because of how strong the original is.
But most of the time you see people drinking diet or zero. It's like beer. How often do you see someone drinking a Budweiser heavy? It's usually always a Bud Light or Miller Lite or whatever you got. People want the light.
Except me! Which is why I was curious to find out why some Coke bottles have yellow caps right now.
Why Coke Bottles Have Yellow Caps in Utah
It's for Passover.
The yellow caps indicate that it's a kosher bottle.
According to Business Insider: (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)
"If you've perused the beverage aisle of your local supermarket lately, you may have noticed that some soda bottles are sporting yellow caps instead of their usual colors. That's because the Jewish holiday of Passover is approaching, and if you're a devoted foodie, you might want to grab a bottle before it disappears until next spring."
Interesting!
So what makes the bottle kosher?
It's the corn syrup! Get that out! They use regular cane sugar to make it kosher.
This sounds better for everybody.
Apparently, a rabbi back in the 30's worked with the company to make the recipe kosher and that's what they use today.
