For years, St. George has held the title of Utah's fastest-growing city and has been among the fastest-growing in the entire United States. According to InsideClimateNews.org, the population of St. George reached 107,424 in 2024! Projections from the University of Utah suggest this number could double by 2050. However, St. George has recently been knocked off its throne as Utah's fastest-growing city.

WHO IS THE NEW LEADER?

The new champion of growth in Utah isn't in the southern part of the state at all. Lehi, located in Utah County, now holds the title of Utah’s fastest-growing city! Between 2022 and 2023, Utah County gained over 16,000 new residents, and much of that growth came from Lehi. Along with Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain, these cities accounted for nearly 75% of the county’s population boom.
