The Most Amazing Thing Happened at Culver’s in Sierra Vista!
Sierra Vista Culver's—Where Everyone is Family
Sierra Vista is one of the friendliest places I've ever lived, but there's a restaurant in our town that takes this attitude to heart in every way possible.
I had lunch at the Sierra Vista Culver's yesterday. If you've never been to this fast-food spot, you're missing out. Kevin and Sandy Adams own the restaurant, and their son Riley is the store's General Manager.
According to their website, they believe in a "people-first approach to service." One visit will convince you this isn't just lip service; it's a living principle that touches everything they do.
The family is incredibly hands-on, and every day you'll spot them serving food to customers, taking orders at the front counter, and preparing food in the back of the house.

Meet the Family Behind Culver’s
Their staff is well-trained, and they all seem happy to work there. Whether you've just come through the drive-thru or you're sitting in the dining room, every single person who works there is proficient, friendly, and genuinely kind.
Culver's is the only fast-food restaurant in town (and the planet, I would wager) where you can place an order in the drive-thru, park, and then receive the correct order brought out to you, complete with napkins and sauces like ketchup in the bag, and a genuine, smile that sweetens the experience even more.

What Makes Their Service Stand Out
"My pleasure!" is their motto whenever you say thank you. It's not just something they utter mindlessly, either; I believe the staff really means it.
Yes, this is a fast-food restaurant, but Culver's is doing everything right, the way I think all businesses should be run.
But what I saw when I had lunch yesterday made me stop in my tracks.
A Moment That Says It All
I ordered at the counter and took a seat, waiting for my food to arrive. About three minutes after I sat down, a very elderly lady with a cane entered the dining room, escorted by a friendly employee named Barbara, one of Culver's staff.
Barbara pulled the lady's chair out and helped her sit comfortably, propping her cane on the table nearby. Then she leaned in and asked the lady if she was comfortable, smiled, then turned and walked out of the dining room.

A few minutes later, Barbara returned, escorting an older man who, I assumed, was the elderly lady's husband.
Together, the man and Barbara took slow, deliberate steps until they reached the table, where she again pulled out a chair and helped the man sit comfortably.
Old Fashioned Values: The New Customer Service Model
I was speechless and couldn't help but smile. Out of respect for the couple, I didn't snap any photos; instead, I watched in awe and admiration. Culver's proved once again that it's a wonderful, customer-friendly organization with a caring and kind culture.
It turns out, this level of service is standard practice at Culver's! I returned the following day, found Barbara, and asked if I could take a few photos. While I was waiting, I saw her helping another customer to his car, holding an umbrella to keep him dry in the sudden monsoon shower.
She told me that the day before, the weather had been so rainy, she'd spent most of her day helping older customers to their seats and to their cars. She wasn't complaining. She told me she enjoyed helping!
Why It Matters to Our Community
I hope their business model becomes the standard for doing business, because in a world of cold, heartless automation and lackluster service, it really sets their establishment apart.
If you've never been, stop in and tell the Adams thank you for making our community such a wonderful place to live.
