This coming Friday John & Dave will give away $100 in gas on Star 98 thanks to the good folks at Grass Creek Construction. We will give it away by a drawing and you enter by helping us build the Ultimate Road Trip Playlist.

To Be Eligible to Win We Need Two Songs

We want to know what song has to be there when you take a road trip and what song should never be on any playlist, much less play while you are driving. Text those two songs to 435-429-1075.

You will be entered into the drawing for $100 in gas from Grass Creek Construction. John & Dave will discuss song entries during the morning show Friday and then draw for the prize around 8:50 AM.

Here's What Makes a Good Song for a Road Trip

When picking a road trip song, it helps to have certain qualities. It needs to be easy to sing along to. This keeps your mind engaged and makes for a fun atmosphere. It also helps to have a good tempo, nothing too sleepy for the driver's sake.

Nostalgic songs are always strong candidates. Music is tied to memories and a tune that brings back some fond moments from the past are great. Also, songs about the open road and freedom work well.
