Sports radio (and sports writing) has been a passion of Andy Griffin since the 1980s and talk radio has quickly climbed the list of priorities for him as well. Andy has broadcast roughly 7,000 games over the last 30 years or so, figuring our a way to get paid for watching sports. In recent years, he dived headfirst into local news and politics and found a true home on talk radio. Fortunately, Andy is married to the best woman alive for more than 33 years and wouldn't trade a single minute of it.

Surviving The Wild: Tips For Interacting With Utah’s Most Dangerous Animals
If we take the mosquito, black widow and scorpion out of the mix, focusing just on animals instead of insects, the list of most dangerous animals in Utah is moose, rattlesnake, mountain lion and black bear, in that order.
So what do you do if you run into one of these critters in the wild...
Snake — It’s What’s For Dinner?!
There's an old saying in journalism: If a dog bites a man, there's no story there. But if a man bites a dog, that's newsworthy.
So in Utah, someone getting bitten by a snake is relatively common. But what about a person eating a snake?
I grew up in Texas and "rattlesnake shish-kabob" was something I saw on many a barbecue joint's menu...
From Idaho To Ghana: The Incredible Journey Of A Shirt Across 7,086 Miles
It's 7,086 miles from Caldwell, Idaho, to Offinso, Ghana. The African town lies on the south end of the huge African panhandle (can I call it that?) in the western part of the continent.
That's how far Elder Brayden Call — a full-time missionary in the Ghana Kumasi Mission -- had to travel to his service area for his mission.

Today Is 50th Anniversary Of Most Brutal Crime In Utah History
The date was April 22, 1974.
It was about time to close the Hi-fi record and stereo shop in Ogden, Utah, with employees Stanley Walker, aged 20, and Michelle Ansley, aged 18, preparing to lock up and go home for the evening.

Heads Up Southern Utah! This Might Crash Through Your Roof
Yesterday NASA admitted that there are thousands of pounds of space junk floating in orbit around our lovely planet.
In the past 60 years or so there have been more than 6,000 space missions and in large part, those missions jettisoned their leftover "junk," things like used batteries, waste and broken industrial parts...

Could You ‘Take The Shot’?
My how time flies -- it has been more than two years since St. George Police Department marksman Seth LeFevre was faced with the choice of a lifetime.
Should I take the shot?
OK, here's the situation (by the way, this is a real situation that happened in February of 2022):
An armed man has carjacked a vehicle in Southern Utah and led police on a high-speed chase...
What To Do If An Elephant Gets Loose In Your Utah Town
OK, OK, the odds of an elephant getting loose in your town are very low.
Like ridiculously low. Astronomically low. Practically none.
But it could happen.
Wednesday morning an elephant, spooked from the noise of a car backfiring, escaped its cage and bolted from a circus/carnival in Butte, Montana...
